overview
The family run farming business started by Andrew’s parents; Nick and Annalain, in 1997 on their 40 acre site. We’re sure you’ll agree from the photos that the site is stunning! The business specialises in rearing a herd of 60 pedigree Beef Shorthorns under the Glenariff prefix. Andrew and his family have a strategic plan to use the building as a production line for high quality cattle to take to Skipton & Carlisle. Andrew’s daughter, Tia (14) is soon to be following in her family farming heritage. But not forgetting, Pepper & Polly, the 2 lovely ladies preparing for their appearance at this years Yorkshire Show, where Andrew judged at last year.

the outcome
We supplied, manufactured and erected this 100’ x 40’ x 15’ Livestock building, with concrete panels to a height of 2m supplied by Concrete Panel Systems ltd. One bay of the building is being used to house hay, whilst the remaining bays are being sectioned off using IAE socketed gates. Groundworks and the concrete floor were completed by local company, DG Scales.

“It’s ticking all the boxes”

“Despite the difficult year with logistics, supplies and demand of building materials Graham Heath Construction achieved great things. We are really happy with shed. It’s ticking all the boxes as far as our requirements are concerned. We hope to progress with a straw shed in the future from the same company. Special thanks to all at Graham Heath, particularly Jake, Heather and Kelly, as well as Claude’s erection team who worked extremely hard in difficult weather conditions and fading light. The difference the shed has made in making the cows comfortable throughout the winter time is somewhat overwhelming and satisfying. Many thanks, Andrew and the Glenariff Pedigree Livestock team.”
