Equestrian Steel Frame Building

42m x 12m with 18x 16 m lean-to extension

Three Happy Horses with Ears Forward Looking Out of Their Stalls in Beautiful Modern Stable. Equestrian Barn Life Theme.

The new building was going to utilise the space of the old building as it was to be repositioned onsite allowing more room for passing horses and traffic around the facilities.

We designed, manufactured, and supplied Josh King with a stable block with a tapered gable end 42m x 12m x 5.5m with a 18m x 6m lean – to – extension. The Equestrian building was designed to allow good airflow throughout the stables and a wide walkway to allow the horses to pass through safely, with two separate stabling areas for Andrew Heffernan’s horses and Dutch team mate Nina.

We took the time to visit Somerford Park Farm in June to see the completed building and speak to Josh and Debbie King onsite.

What was the aim and objectives of the build?

“We required a spacious, light and airy building to give the horses a healthy and bright environment.”
Debbie King

The building will be used as a professional competition yard for Andrew Heffernan. Providing Andrew with an area to showcase his business to sponsors and clients when visiting.
