Overview:
Earlier this year Joshua King from Somerford Park Farm in Cheshire contacted us for a quote on a new steel frame building. He required a new equestrian building on site replacing an old stable block.
Somerford Park Farm boast word class equestrian facilities on its site in Cheshire, running a wide range of Competition, Camps and Clinics as well as livery and stabling on the 1,000 acre site. The King family established the business in 1976 and have gone from strength to strength.

We designed, manufactured, and supplied Josh King with a stable block with a tapered gable end 42m x 12m x 5.5m with a 18m x 6m lean – to – extension. The Equestrian building was designed to allow good airflow throughout the stables and a wide walkway to allow the horses to pass through safely, with two separate stabling areas for Andrew Heffernan’s horses and Dutch team mate Nina.

The building is complete with;
- Internal Stables supplied by Monarch Equestrian
- Galvanised steelwork,
- Natural Grey Fibre Cement Roof with alternating open/closed Ridge
- 40 Roof Lights
- Castle Board Cladding on side 1 and gable end
- Box Profile Cladding on side 2 and gable end
- 90mm Thick Concrete Panels to a height of 2m.
What was the aim and objectives of the build?
“We required a spacious, light and airy building to give the horses a healthy and bright environment.” Comments Debbie King
